UTTAR PRADESH: The National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Postgraduate (NEET PG) Stray Vacancy Round counselling for the 2024-25 academic year is currently in progress in Uttar Pradesh. The Director General of Medical Education and Training, Uttar Pradesh (UPDGME), has released guidelines for the admission process of candidates allocated seats through the UP NEET PG-2024 stray vacancy round.
According to the guidelines, medical colleges, institutes, universities, and hospitals in the government sector will manage the admission process for candidates allocated seats in their respective institutions. Conversely, nodal centres designated by the government will handle admissions for candidates allotted seats in private-sector medical colleges.
All allotted candidates must appear in person and submit original educational, category or subcategory, and other relevant certificates during the admission process. Those assigned to private-sector colleges are required to provide a CTS bank draft of the government-determined tuition fee, payable to the Director General, Medical Education & Training, U.P., at Lucknow. Private college management may charge lower tuition fees than those set by the government if they choose. The official UPDGME website provides the government-determined tuition fees and the fee structure for minority institutions.
Additionally, all candidates must undergo a medical examination conducted by the Medical Board at the college level.
The UP NEET PG Stray Vacancy Round Counselling 2024 began on February 17, 2025, and will conclude on February 28, 2025. Candidates can download the allotment letter and complete the admission process from today, February 24, 2025, until tomorrow, February 25, 2025.
