Tamil Nadu Health Reduced NEET PG 2024 Cut-Off and Invites Fresh Applications

Tamil Nadu Health invites fresh applications for NEET PG 2024 admissions after lowering the cut-off percentile across categories.

The Tamil Nadu (TN) Health Department has announced that it is accepting fresh applications for admission to postgraduate (PG) MD/MS degrees, diploma, and DNB courses for the academic year 2024-25. This follows the recent reduction in the National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Postgraduate (NEET PG) cut-off percentile by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).

The revised cut-off percentile issued by the DGHS (MCC) has led the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) to reduce the qualifying percentile for NEET PG Counselling 2024-25 across all categories. Interested candidates can apply online from 6 January 2025, 5:00 PM to 9 January 2025, 5:00 PM, and must upload all relevant documents as specified in the prospectus. Candidates who have already applied but have lower percentiles are not required to reapply.

The updated cut-off percentiles are:

  1. General Category/EWS: 15th percentile and above are eligible for counselling.
  2. SC/ST/OBC/PwD: 10th percentile and above are eligible for counselling.

Application and Registration Fees

According to the prospectus:

  • The application fee for DNB Broad Specialty (Post MBBS, Post Diploma), Post MBBS Diploma seats (2-year course) for service candidates, and PG Degree/Diploma seats in government medical colleges and government seats in self-financed colleges affiliated to TN Dr. MGR Medical University is ₹3,000 (non-refundable).
  • The registration fee is ₹1,000 (non-refundable).
