The Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC) has announced the Round 1 and Round 2 admitted lists along with the updated vacancy positions for the National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Postgraduate (NEET-PG) Medical (M.D/M.S) courses on its official website. Candidates can now participate in Round 3 without any restrictions related to previous rounds.
Round 3 Admission Process and Eligibility
As per the official notification, candidates seeking admission to first-year NEET-PG Medical (M.D/M.S) courses in government and self-financed medical colleges in Puducherry must complete the following steps by February 2, 2025, at 5:00 PM:
- Submit their willingness to participate in Round 3.
- Complete the payment of the registration fee.
- Fill in course preferences under Government, Management (MQ), Management (MQ-Telugu Minority), and Management (MQ-Christian Minority) quotas.
All candidates registered with CENTAC, including those allotted seats in Round 1 and Round 2 (whether they joined or not), are eligible for Round 3 counseling.
Registration Fee Payment
To participate in Round 3 counseling, candidates must pay the following registration fees:
- General (GE), OBC, MBC, EBC, BCM, BT candidates (Government Quota): ₹1,00,000
- SC/ST/PwD candidates (including SC/ST admitted in Round 1) (Government Quota): ₹25,000
- Other candidates: ₹2,00,000
Only candidates who successfully pay the registration fee will be considered for Round 3. Candidates must transfer the registration fee via Net Banking or NEFT/RTGS challan through the payment option available on their dashboard login credentials.
Forfeiture and Adjustment of Registration Fee
- Candidates who do not receive any seat allotment in Round 3 will receive a refund of their registration fee.
- For those allotted seats, the registration fee will be adjusted against the course fee.
- Candidates who are allotted a seat in Round 3 but fail to join will forfeit their registration fee.
Submission of Course Preferences
- All candidates registering for Round 3 must submit their course preferences again.
- Sliding is allowed in Round 3, meaning vacancies may change dynamically at the time of allotment. Candidates must submit course preferences for both Government and Management Quotas, regardless of the vacancies published.
- If a candidate is allotted a new seat based on Round 3 preferences, the seat allotted in Round 2 will be automatically canceled.
- Candidates are solely responsible for their course preferences, and no changes will be entertained after submission.
- No seat will be allotted if course preferences are left vacant.
Conversion of Unfilled Seats in Round 3
- After filling the Telugu Minority and Christian Minority Management Quota seats, the remaining unfilled seats will be converted into the All India Management Quota and filled within Round 3, once the Minority Quota merit list is exhausted.
- Management Quota course preferences are now enabled for Round 3.
Exit/Withdrawal of Round 1 & Round 2 Admitted Seats
Candidates who joined NEET-PG Medical (M.D/M.S) courses in Round 1 or Round 2 but wish to withdraw may submit their Withdrawal Request Letter through their candidate login dashboard by February 2, 2025, at 5:00 PM.

Revised Draft Merit List Published
Alongside the vacancy list, CENTAC has also published a revised draft merit list, incorporating existing and newly eligible candidates after lowering the cut-off. The merit list includes candidates for both Government and Management Quotas, covering Christian and Telugu Minority seats.
