New Medical Colleges in UP 2024: Uttar Pradesh is set to increase MBBS seats by 1400 for the 2024-25 academic year, pending approval from the National Medical Commission (NMC), by establishing 14 new medical colleges. The state’s medical education department has already applied to the NMC, requesting campus inspections. A physical verification of the infrastructure at these 14 campuses is anticipated soon. New medical colleges are planned to be established in several districts of Uttar Pradesh, including Kushinagar, Kaushambi, Sultanpur, Amethi, Kanpur Dehat, Lalitpur, Pilibhit, Auraiya, Sonbhadra, Bulandshahr, Gonda, Bijnor, Chandauli, and Lakhimpur Kheri.
Each of these medical colleges will include 112 positions for Assistant Professors, Professors, and Physicists. Additionally, there will be 446 roles for Senior Residents, Junior Residents, and Medical Officers, along with 110 positions each for Chief Pharmacists, Dental Technicians, Pharmacists, and non-technical staff.
