This statement came after the NTA released the NEET UG 2025 information bulletin. The NMC notice addressed confusion among students. The NMC said the NEET UG 2025 bulletin issued by NTA does not fully align with NMC regulations. The NMC said, “Students can study through NIOS and still appear for NEET UG under GMER-23 regulations”.

Earlier, the Supreme Court (SC) condemned the National Medical Commission’s (NMC) rule that requires candidates to have Both Hands Intact for medical education. The court called this rule an act of “ableism” and said it goes against the principles of fairness and inclusivity enshrined in the Constitution of India.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) opened the registration for the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2025 on 7 February. Eligible aspirants can fill out the NEET application form 2025 on the official website, neet.nta.nic.in. The last date to apply for NEET 2025 is March 7, 2025. The exam will be conducted on 4 May and is expected to be released on 14 June.
