NEET UG 2025 registration is set to begin soon on the official website, neet.nta.nic.in. The NTA has issued a notification urging candidates to use their APAAR ID and Aadhaar-based details during the application process. Applicants are also advised to update their Aadhaar credentials to ensure smooth verification, successful registration, and maintain the exam’s integrity.
The decision comes in response to the NEET UG paper leak incident last year. According to a notification by the NTA, “As per the guidelines issued by the Department of Higher Education under the Ministry of Education, the integration of APAAR ID with NEET UG 2025 is mandatory. To achieve this, candidates are encouraged to use their APAAR ID and Aadhaar-based authentication during both the application and examination process.”

NEET UG 2025 Registration: Aadhaar Details to Update
According to the NTA, candidates must update specific credentials, such as their Class 10 marksheet or passing certificate, in their Aadhaar. Additionally, they should ensure their Aadhaar is linked to a valid mobile number for OTP-based authentication.
“Aspirants are advised to verify that their Aadhaar details—particularly their name, date of birth (as per their Class 10 certificate), and facial recognition data—are up to date to ensure a seamless registration and verification process. Updates can be made at the nearest Aadhaar enrollment or update center,” the NTA stated in its notification.
