New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued the latest guidelines for filling out the OMR sheet for NEET UG 2025. With the exam just around the corner, it’s crucial for candidates to understand and follow these instructions carefully to avoid disqualification or loss of marks.

The OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) sheet is a critical part of the NEET UG examination. A single mistake while marking answers can lead to serious consequences. NTA’s updated instructions aim to minimize errors and ensure a smooth examination process for lakhs of aspirants.

How to Fill NEET UG 2025 OMR Sheet

Filling the OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) sheet correctly is crucial in the NEET UG exam. A small mistake can lead to disqualification or marks deduction. Follow these steps to avoid errors:

Step 1: Use the Correct Pen

  • Use only black or blue ballpoint pen provided at the exam center.
  • Do NOT use gel pens, pencils, or markers.

Step 2: Fill in the Basic Details First

  • Fill your Roll Number, Question Booklet Number, and other personal details neatly in the boxes.
  • Darken the corresponding bubbles for each digit/letter completely.
  • Avoid overwriting or making stray marks.

  • Each question will have 4 options: A, B, C, D.
  • Darken only one bubble completely for the correct answer.
  • Do NOT tick, cross, circle, or half-fill the bubble.

Step 4: Don’t Use Correction Tools

  • Do NOT use erasers, white ink, or correction fluid.
