The Education and Health Ministries are considering shifting NEET to an online computer-based test (CBT). NTA recently posted on social media, hinting at an official announcement soon regarding NEET 2025 exam dates and age restrictions.
According to the tentative NBE Exam Calendar 2025:
- NEET MDS 2025 – Expected on January 31, 2025
- NEET PG 2025 – Tentatively scheduled for June 15, 2025
- Internship Completion Date – Announced as July 31, 2025
The official NEET UG 2025 exam date is expected to be announced soon. Based on previous patterns, NEET 2025 will likely be held on May 4, 2025 (Sunday), from 2:00 PM to 5:20 PM.
Reports suggest that Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has hinted at moving NEET to a computer-based format instead of the traditional pen-and-paper method. Dr. Manish Jangra, Chairman of FAIMA, has urged authorities to address issues faced by students during NEET UG and PG exams.
RTI activists are requesting NTA to review the NEET 2025 exam format to ensure fairness. NTA is expected to release the complete NEET 2025 schedule by December 2024 on its official website.
Is the NEET 2025 Information Bulletin Available?
Not yet. The NEET 2025 bulletin PDF has not been released. However, the exam is tentatively set for May 4, 2025.

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan recently addressed the press, revealing that the Education and Health Ministries are in the final stages of deciding whether to shift the NEET exam to an online computer-based test (CBT) format.
Pradhan stated, “The Health Ministry is the administrative body for NEET, and we are in discussions with them regarding the exam mode – whether it should continue in pen-and-paper format or shift to online. We have held two rounds of talks with Health Minister JP Nadda. Whichever option is deemed most suitable, NTA is prepared to implement it.”

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the NEET 2025 syllabus on its official website. Some topics have been removed, while important ones have been added or modified in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
