NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) invited applications for NEET UG 2025 from 7 February. The application deadline is March 7, and the exam will be conducted on 4 May. If you dream of becoming a doctor, this is your last chance, as this is the last week to apply for the exam.
The NTA will conduct the NEET UG exam 2025 in a pen-and-paper mode for admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, and other medical programs. Candidates who are 17 years of age and have passed Class 12 are eligible.
NEET UG 2025: Last Week for Application
If you dream of becoming a doctor, NEET UG 2025 offers a great opportunity. The registration is closing on 7 March. The NTA has not issued a notice on the date extension. Till now, more than 23 lakh students have already applied. And the NTA is unlikely to extend the application date.
This is the last chance for NEET aspirants. This Friday, 7 March, the NTA will close the registration window.
Exam Pattern and New Rules
As per the revised exam pattern for 2025, the question paper will consist of 180 compulsory questions. NEET UG 2025 will have 45 questions in the Physics and Chemistry sections each and 90 questions in Biology. Earlier, each subject had 35 compulsory questions in Section A and 15 optional ones in Section B.
Last year, widespread irregularities in the exam caused a nationwide uproar, prompting the NTA to acknowledge its mistakes, such as granting grace marks and re-conducting the exam for affected students. This called for some amendment in rules on conduct of exam.
Important new rules
- The NTA will implement biometric verification at exam centers.
- There has been a rule change in the tie-breaking system.
- The NEET UG 2025 exam will be conducted in pen-and-paper mode.
- The Examination center will open 3 hours earlier before the start of the exam.
- Students need to have at least 6 passport size photo graph.
