NEET UG 2025 Exam Pattern Updated; NTA Eliminates Section B Optional Questions

NEET UG 2025 will revert to its pre-COVID format, with 180 compulsory questions and a 3-hour duration, eliminating optional questions and extra time.

NEET UG 2025 Latest News: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially announced a return to the pre-COVID format for the NEET (UG) 2025 examination, as per the directive of the National Medical Commission. The decision eliminates Section B, which previously offered optional questions, and restores the original structure and duration of the exam.

Under the revised format, candidates will face 180 compulsory multiple-choice questions across Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (90 questions in Biology, 45 each in Physics and Chemistry). The total duration of the exam will be 180 minutes (3 hours), with no additional time or optional questions allowed.

This change aligns with the NTA’s intention to streamline the examination process, following adjustments made during the COVID-19 pandemic. Aspirants are encouraged to prepare thoroughly under the revised structure and stay updated by visiting the official NTA website at neet.nta.nic.in.
