New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the official identity verification guidelines for NEET-UG 2025. To ensure a strict and transparent examination process, candidates must carry specific documents to their respective exam centres. Failure to present the required ID documents may lead to disqualification.
Mandatory Documents for NEET 2025
All candidates appearing for NEET-UG 2025 must bring the following documents on the exam day:
- NEET Admit Card – A passport-size photograph must be affixed to it.
- Additional Passport-Size Photograph – To be attached to the attendance sheet.
- Valid Original Identity Proof – Candidates must carry one of the following government-issued IDs:
- Aadhaar Card (mandatory)
- PAN Card
- Voter ID
- Passport
- Driving License
- Ration Card
- Class 12 Admit Card with Photograph
- Any other government-issued photo ID
- PwBD Certificate – Only for candidates claiming reservation under the PwBD category.
- Postcard-Size Photograph (4” x 6”) – A coloured photograph with a white background, which must be pasted on the proforma downloaded with the admit card.
Significance of Aadhaar in NEET 2025
The NTA has made Aadhaar Card a compulsory ID proof for NEET-UG 2025. This decision is aimed at enhancing security and eliminating identity fraud or impersonation cases during the exam. Candidates must ensure that their Aadhaar Card is linked to a valid mobile number to receive the OTP required for verification.
