NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the NEET UG 2025 examination on May 4. The examination is compulsory for MBBS, BDS and other medical courses admissions. The new exam pattern now consists of only 180 questions, to be answered within 180 minutes (three hours). With the elimination of Section B, the pattern has changed extremely.
With only two months remaining for the exam, it is important to adopt a properly planned strategy in order to have the best chance of success. Below are some key preparation tips:
1. Smart Revision with Pointer Notes
The NEET exam will contain 45 questions from Chemistry and Physics and 90 questions from Biology. To make your preparation easy, prepare brief notes on key formulas, concepts and shortcut tricks. These pointer notes will prove to be very useful for quick last-minute revisions before the exam.
2. Balance NEET and Board Exams
Students sitting for the Class 12 board exams need to balance both preparations equally. Board exam performance also enhances NEET preparation. Determine weak subjects and dedicate 3-4 hours a day for revision to cover all topics thoroughly.
3. Gain Real-Time Test Experience
Time management is important for NEET 2025. Practice weekly mock tests and daily practice tests under simulated exam conditions. This will make you remain stress-free during the actual NEET UG exam. Review your mistakes after each mock test and correct them.
4. Learn from Mistakes and Avoid Negative Marking
Since NEET follows a negative marking system, answer only when you are 100% sure. Focus on eliminating repeated errors by identifying weak areas and developing a strategy to correct them. Regularly reviewing incorrect answers and learning from mistakes will significantly improve your score.
By following these strategies, you can enhance your preparation and move closer to success in NEET UG 2025. Stay focused, stay disciplined, and keep refining your approach!
