NEW DELHI: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will announce the results for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET PG) stray vacancy round 2024 on February 19. This counselling round aims to fill 2,562 vacant seats.
The MCC will publish the NEET PG seat allotment list on its official website, mcc.nic.in. Only candidates who do not hold any All India Quota (AIQ) or state quota seats are eligible to participate in this final round of counselling.
The registration for the NEET PG stray vacancy round was open from February 12 to 16, while candidates could fill and lock their choices between February 13 and 16. However, concerns over delays in state counselling have surfaced, as many aspirants claim it has cost them AIQ seats. More than 70 students have petitioned the Supreme Court, seeking the cancellation of the MCC NEET PG round 3 allotment results.
In response, MCC has outlined the eligibility criteria for the stray vacancy round. Candidates who failed to join their allotted seats in round 3 of MCC NEET PG counselling are ineligible for this round. However, those who did not report to their allotted institutes will be permitted to participate in state counselling.
