Meghalaya Seat Allotment Procedure 2023
The Meghalaya MBBS & BDS Counselling will be conducted in two rounds. The seat allotment and mop-up round process will be done separately for each round. The Seat allotment will be based entirely on the merit rank and choices entered by candidates.
The Meghalaya MBBS and BDS seat allotment results for Round I counselling will be announced tentatively in the first week of July. The seat allotment result will be published online on the official website of NEIGRI of Health and Medical Sciences, Shillong.
Applying seekers who have been allotted seats in the first round, I will also opt for up-gradation in the Second Round. If the candidate gets an upgraded seat in the Second Round, the seat allotted in the First Round will be cancelled.

Document Verification
After releasing the provisional Meghalaya NEET merit list, the responsible authority will release a schedule for document verification for all applicants whose names appear on the merit list. Applicants will be required to report in person at the assigned venue to get their original documents verified for Meghalaya Medical College admission.

Tie-Breaking For Meghalaya MBBS Rank List
If a situation arises with two or more applicants having the same ranks, tie-breaking is needed. Here are some rules for tie-breaking.
- Applicants with higher marks in biology will be given high ranks and hence preferred.
- If the tie still exists, a candidate with higher chemistry marks will be preferred.
- If the tie does not break, the applicant with fewer negative marks will be prioritised.
- And if the problem still lies, the older applicant will be preferred.
