MCC Revises Schedule for NEET PG Counselling 2024; 16 Seats Added in Seat Matrix

The MCC revised the NEET PG 2024 round 3 counselling schedule, notified 16 missing seats, and updated category changes, resignation windows, and seat allotment dates.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) revised the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for Postgraduation (NEET PG) counselling schedule for round 3 due to two reasons: the reduction in NEET PG 2024 cut-off percentile and delays in the state counselling process. Sixteen candidates resigned from MD, MS, and NBEMS Diploma seats. The MCC informed candidates and medical colleges that these seats are not visible in the PDF of the seat matrix uploaded on the official website, mcc.nic.in. However, it clarified that candidates using the NEET PG choice filling facility for round 3 can view these 16 seats.

According to the revised schedule for NEET PG round 3 counselling, candidates can register until January 22, and the choice filling and locking facility will remain open until January 23. The seat allotment results, originally scheduled for January 21, will now be announced on January 25.

In round 3, 819 candidates changed their nationality from Indian to NRI. Overall, 1,904 candidates switched to the NRI category. MCC notified 24,314 seats for round 3, of which 23 were withdrawn, and 12 were added.

The resignation window reopened for candidates who were allotted seats through state NEET PG counselling and wish to resign their All India seat with forfeiture of the security deposit. This facility will remain available until January 22, 12 noon.
