MCC Removes Two Seats from NEET PG 2024 Special Stray Vacancy Round Counselling

MCC has removed two ST-category seats from the NEET PG 2024 special stray vacancy round following requests from the respective institutes.

NEW DELHI: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has removed two seats from the seat matrix of the special stray vacancy round for the National Eligibility Entrance Test – Postgraduate (NEET PG) counselling 2024. The decision follows requests from the respective institutes to withdraw these seats. Candidates can review the updated seat matrix before making their selections on mcc.nic.in.

Rana Beni Madhav Singh Hospital withdrew a general medicine seat in the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category, while Nalanda Medical College removed an MS ENT seat in the same category.

“The removed seats will be excluded from the Seat Matrix before the allotment process for the Special Stray Vacancy round of PG Counselling 2024,” MCC stated in an official notice.

MCC has initiated the registration process for the NEET PG 2024 special stray vacancy round to fill 733 clear vacancies. As per the official schedule, registered candidates can submit their course and college preferences by March 10.

The special stray vacancy round was introduced after the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) further reduced the NEET PG 2024 cut-off to the 5th percentile.
