The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has opened online registration for PG Medical seats after the qualifying percentile for NEET PG 2024 was reduced. Eligible candidates can register, submit applications, and pay fees on the KEA portal from 6:00 PM on January 15, 2025, to 11:00 AM on January 18, 2025. This opportunity is open to candidates newly eligible under the revised criteria and those who were previously eligible but did not register.
As per a notice from the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) dated January 6, 2025, the new qualifying percentile is 15% for General candidates and 10% for SC/ST/OBC candidates, as approved by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW). These criteria apply exclusively to Karnataka SC/ST/OBC candidates.
Document Verification
Newly registered candidates must appear for document verification at KEA, Bangalore, on any of the following dates:
- January 16, 2025
- January 17, 2025
- January 18, 2025
Candidates must bring original documents and two photocopy sets along with the final application form printout, NEET PG 2024 scorecard, and an identity card. Candidates without the required documents will not be eligible for seat allotment.
Special Instructions for Disabled Candidates
Physically disabled candidates gaining eligibility under the revised criteria must attend a medical examination at KEA, Bangalore, on January 20, 2025, at 11:00 AM, with relevant certificates and an identity card. Seat allotment will depend on availability.
