Directorate of Technical Education Goa
The Government of Goa in 1986 created the Directorate of Technical Education Goa too:-

Board of Technical Education, Goa State
The Cabinet approved the establishment of the Board of Technical Education under the Directorate of Technical Education Goa on 2nd July 1987. The notification regarding the constitution of the Board of Technical Education was issued on 5th February 1988.
The Board of Technical Education Goa was formed as an administrative and executive body to frame the curriculum to lay down the rules and regulations relating to the academic performance of all Polytechnics and other institutes affiliated with the Board and various diploma programmes.
Five polytechnics are conducting diploma programmes in Engineering and Technology, two hotel management institutions are operating diploma programmes in Hotel Management, and one pharmacy institution is working on diploma programmes in Pharmacy affiliated with this Board.
All diploma programmes in Engineering and Technology are under a semester pattern, while diplomas in hotel management and diploma in Pharmacy are held under an annual design. The programe aims to produce competent engineering diploma holders to manage the industries efficiently and effectively. All the activities in any academic institution are guided by the curricula operating in the institution.
Efforts have been made so that the diploma pass-outs fulfil the overall expectations of the user system and the country at large. The learners need to be proactive to have an effective teaching-learning process. The detailed curriculum given on the site will help the learner to plan his studies at the beginning of the term.
