Puducherry: The Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC) has extended the deadline for admissions to the 3rd round of National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) Postgraduate (PG) medical courses (MD/MS) for the academic year 2024-25. Candidates now have until 1:00 PM on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, to complete their admission process. CENTAC has confirmed that no further extensions will be granted, emphasizing the importance of utilizing this final opportunity to ensure a smooth admission process.

Revised Admission Timeline

Previously, the deadline for Round 3 admissions to first-year NEET-PG medical courses in government and self-financed medical colleges in Puducherry was set for 5:00 PM on February 2, 2025. This round included submission of willingness, payment of registration fees, and course preference selection under Government, Management (MQ), Management (MQ-Telugu Minority), and Management (MQ-Christian Minority) quotas.

Registration Fee Details

  • Government Quota:
    • General/GE/OBC/MBC/EBC/BCM/BT candidates: Rs. 1,00,000/-
    • SC/ST/PwD candidates (including those admitted in Round 1): Rs. 25,000/-
  • Other Candidates: Rs. 2,00,000/-

Course Preference Submission Guidelines

  1. All candidates must submit fresh course preferences for Round 3, even if they participated in Round 2.
  2. Sliding will be permitted in Round 3, potentially creating dynamic vacancies during allotment. Candidates must submit course preferences for both Government and Management quotas, regardless of published vacancies.
  3. If a candidate receives a new seat allocation in Round 3 based on their submitted preferences, their previous Round 2 admission will be automatically canceled.
  4. Candidates bear full responsibility for accurately submitting their course preferences. No changes will be allowed once preferences are submitted.
  5. No seats will be allotted if a candidate leaves the course preference section vacant.

Candidates are advised to complete all formalities well before the deadline to avoid last-minute issues.
