Eligibility Criteria

  1. NEET Qualification: Applicants must have qualified for the NEET UG Entrance Examination.
  2. Domicile: Aspirants must have domicile status in Maharashtra.
  3. Educational Qualification:
  • Completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology.
  • English must be a compulsory subject.
  • The minimum marks required are 50% for the General category, 40% for SC/ST/OBC, and 45% for Physically Handicapped candidates.

4. Age Criteria: Candidates must be at least 17 years old at the time of admission or turn 17 by December 31st of the admission year.

Eligibility Criteria for NRI/OCI/PIO Candidates

  • Candidates must have scored at least 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in their class 12 or equivalent exam.
  • Candidates must hold a valid passport.
  • NRI/OCI candidates are exempted from the domicile requirement applicable to resident Indian candidates.
  • Applicants must have qualified for the NEET UG Entrance Examination.
  • Candidates applying under NRI sponsorship must have a real blood relation to the financial supporter, such as a mother, father, sister, brother, aunt, or uncle.

Maharashtra NEET UG Counselling 2025

Below, we have mentioned the counselling procedure for BAMS in Maharashtra.

Step 1: Online Registration

  • Go to the official website of the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra.
  • Eligible candidates who have completed document verification and received an Acknowledgement of Document Verification must fill out the Preference Form.
  • Log in using your Application Number/Username, Password and Document Verification Code.

Step 2: Choice Filling and Locking

  • After logging in, the Preference Form will be displayed.
  • Enter at least one preference and up to a maximum of 300 preferences.
  • Each tab shows 100 preferences sequentially.
  • Click on Save Preferences after entering 100 choices to unlock the next tab.
  • Once all preferences are entered, click on Lock Preferences to finalize the form.
  • Carefully review your choices before locking, as changes cannot be made after submission.
  • Click Finish on the final TAB and verify all preferences using the checkboxes before locking.

Step 3: Allotment of Seats

  • The authority will allocate seats to the candidates based on their NEET UG rank and choices filled.

Step 4: Reporting to the Allotted College

  • The candidates must download the allotment letter and report to the assigned college within the given timeframe, carrying original documents for verification.

Step 5: Upgradation and Additional Rounds

  • If the candidate is not satisfied with the allotted seat or college, they can choose to participate in additional rounds for seat upgradation.

Documents Required

Candidates allotted a seat in Maharashtra Ayush NEET Counselling 2025 must report to the college with the following documents to complete the admission formalities.

  • NEET UG Admit Card
  • NEET UG Scorecard
  • 10+2 Mark Sheet and Certificate
  • Birth Certificate
  • Domicile Certificate
  • Caste Certificate (if applicable)

Seat Allotment

The seat allotment process involves multiple rounds:

First Round

  • Seats are allotted based on rank in NEET-UG rank and preferences filled.
  • Candidates must accept the seat and report to the allotted institute within the given timeframe.

Second Round

  • Vacant seats from the first round are offered.
  • Candidates who were not allotted seats in the first round or wish to upgrade can participate in the second round.

Mop-Up Round

  • A final round to fill any remaining seats.
  • Candidates who haven’t secured a seat in 1st and 2nd rounds can participate in the Mop-Up Round.
