Assam NEET-UG Merit List: The Directorate of Medical Education has declared the state merit list for Assam MBBS/BDS admission online, considering all the aspirants qualified to apply for the Assam MBBS admission. The list will also include the names, NEET Results and percentile, NEET rank and state merit rank of the aspirants who qualified in the medical entrance exam and have a permanent residence. Aspirants who are residents of Assam and will secure the minimum NEET qualifying percentile will be added to the Assam Merit List.

The NEET merit rank eligible aspirants will be called for the Assam MBBS counselling session for admission to 1550 MBBS and 50 BDS under 85% state quota seats. Assam NEET Seat Allotment Procedure
The Assam NEET UG Counselling will be conducted in two rounds. The seat allotment and mop-up round process will be done separately for each game. The Seat allotment will be based entirely on the merit rank and choices entered by candidates. The Assam MBBS and BDS seat allotment results for Round I counselling will be announced tentatively in the first week of December. The seat allotment would be published online on the Directorate of Medical EducationAssam’s official website.

Document Verification
After releasing the provisional Assam NEET merit list, the responsible authority will release a schedule for document verification for all applicants whose names appear on the merit list. Applicants must report in person at the assigned venue to verify their original documents for Assam Medical College admission.

Tie-Breaking For Assam MBBS Rank List
If a situation arises with two or more applicants having the same ranks, tie-breaking is needed. Here are some rules for tie-breaking.
- Applicants with higher marks in biology will be given high ranks and preferred.
- A candidate with higher chemistry marks will be preferred if the tie still exists.
- If the tie does not break, the applicant with fewer negative marks will be prioritised.
- And if the problem still lies, the older applicant will be preferred.
