IBPS Clerk Preliminary Examination


The very first stage of your dream job is to score great in the Preliminary examination. Here aspirants must keep in mind that the written examination will be online in nature and will consist of the following parameters.

IBPS Clerk Exam Pattern (Preliminary)


The IBPS Preliminary exam will consist of total 100 questions of 1 mark each. An aspirant has to clear the individual cutoff of each paper to make it to the Mains. Let us check out the Exam pattern of IBPS Clerk Preliminary Examination.

IBPS Clerk Mains Examination


Successfull candidates who have cleared the Preliminary cut off will be called for Mains examination. It is to be noted that only those candidate who will clear the respective cutoff made by the board will be called for Mains examination.

IBPS Clerk Exam Pattern: Mains


The mains exam is tougher than the preliminary. It will consist of total 190 questions and the total time allotted is 160 minutes. It means less than 1 minute to score each question correctly, hence making speed and accuracy important here. Let us have a look at the IBPS Clerk Mains Exam Pattern.

Document Verification


If you have cleared both the Preliminary and Mains Examination then relax it’s your time to join the job. A list of all the selected candidates (State wise) will be declared on the official website of IBPS. After clearing all the Cut off one needs to visit the center allotted by the recruitment authority for document verification. You will need these documents to be carried along with you.

  • Graduation Mark sheet
  • Caste Certificate (If applied for)
  • Medical Certificate for Physically Disability candidates

Provisional Allotment


The shortlisted candidates will be issued a provisional allotment letter. One must keep in mind that in order to be shortlisted for provisional allotment process, the candidates should qualify in the main examination and be sufficiently high in the merit list. Qualified candidates will be provisionally allotted to one of the Participating Organisations and allotment will be based on merit-cum-preference.
